BA (Hons) Physio. and B.S Exerc. Sci.
Born in Melbourne Steffan grew up playing footy in Melbourne’s South-Eastern
suburbs and found himself suffering from an array of injuries, from broken bones to
torn muscles. Eventually Steffan ended up suffering from a long-term back injury that caused him to stop playing sport altogether.
This acted as a catalyst for Steffan wanting to become a physiotherapist. Through
study and getting the right help from physiotherapists, Steffan was able to develop
the right skill-set to be able work his way out of suffering from chronic lower back
pain and has since returned to sports and keeping active.
Steffan has been fortunate to be part of the Kieser group for over 10-years, working
with people suffering from all sorts of injuries. In particular Steffan has enjoyed
helping people recover from and manage:
- Lower back pain; helping people return to moving comfortably.
- Hip and knee osteoarthritis; getting people more comfortable with being
activate and tolerating load through their joints.
- Neck and shoulder pain; better tolerating sleeping comfortably and
demands of being at the work-desk.
Steffan’s current hobbies include climbing and hiking. He tries to escape the city as
often as possible to check out all that Victoria’s nature has to offer. He hopes he can
help people prolong what they love doing, whether that be walking, gardening,
playing sport or travelling.
“I’m excited to be part of Wellness Medicine. The clinic’s philosophy of helping
people live as well as possible for as long as possible fits my ethos of helping people
become more active and comfortable with movement. I’m hoping I can make a
meaningful impact on the well-being of the community.”
