“It is important to me to practise at a place where the time and experience of the entire team – reception, nursing, allied health and doctors – is valued and respected.
I have seen, with so much information available to patients, the role of the doctor has evolved to a different place from 20 years ago.
I aim to listen, plan together and work for a wellness solution that both my patients and I are comfortable with. I feel that medical care works best when we work as partners.
Life, and medicine, is about the relationships we develop and nurture. I am interested in the whole story of people’s lives, and the journey that has brought them to their present place. I like to know where patients interests lie, what they enjoy and what they find challenging, and most importantly, what they hope the future holds for them.
I hope to provide an environment where I can support patients’ needs and help them to make informed, safe decisions about their healthcare.
I have a particular interest Women’s Health (pre-pregnancy planning, Ante-Natal Shared Care, menopause management), Male and Female Mental Health, and medical support of weight management.
Away from medicine, the things that make me smile are my husband, our 3 children, and my golden retriever. I am a I’m a long-suffering Essendon supporter, remaining ever hopeful of future success!”
