Dr Cemira is a warm, pragmatic GP who values creating a supportive and judgement-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health concerns. She believes quality healthcare begins with listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions and ensuring patients feel informed, respected and supported throughout their care journey.
After graduating with Honours from the University of Sydney, Dr Cemira completed her early medical training at Royal Prince Alfred and St Vincent’s Hospitals in Sydney before beginning her career in Emergency Medicine. She has since worked across major teaching hospitals in New Zealand, Indigenous Health services, cruise ship physician – an experience that sparked her interest in travel medicine, and a variety of community and general practice settings throughout Melbourne.
Dr Cemira enjoys the diversity of general practice and has particular interests in women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, medical termination of pregnancy, contraception, Implanon insertion and removal, IUD removal, weight management, travel medicine, children’s health, mental health and preventative care.
Outside of work, Dr Cemira enjoys reading, optimistic attempts at gardening and trying to keep pace with her teenage boys on hikes, a regular exercise in humility.
