Dear Patients,
To keep ourselves and you safe during this time all the doctors at Wellness Medicine are available for Phone Appointments/ Telehealth. Medicare requirements for telehealth have now changed so only patients who have attended the clinic in person in the last 12 months are eligible for a rebate from Medicare.
Appointments available over the Phone are:
- Prescriptions
- Results
- Mental Health Care Plans
- Chronic Disease Management Plans
- General appointments
- Integrative Medicine appointment with Dr Joanna Hickey (these appointments have different billing criteria please discuss with reception)
Fees for General Practitioner Telehealth/Phone appointment are:
- Standard Appointment – $68 to $80 with a Medicare Rebate of $38.75
- Long Appointment –$130 to $140 with a Medicare Rebate of $75.05
- Prolonged Appointment $170 to $180 with a Medicare Rebate of $110.05

We have also made some changes for face to face appointments at the Clinic:
- When you arrive the door please use sanitiser when entering the clinic and immediately proceed to reception.
- All patient over the age of 12 years MUSTwear a mask in the clinic
- We are frequently cleaning and sanitising the clinic throughout the day
